Concert by the BLU/BRY Quintet

Inaugural concert of the Junior Jazz Festival performed by the quintet consisting of:

Franciszek Wicke – Bass Guitar and Double Bass

Blu/bry is a quintet made up of a group of friends. In our music we combine the sounds of modern European jazz with light touches of folk music from around the world.

Our group was formed in 2019 when we met to play together after classes. Over time we started writing, composing and arranging original music. In the following years, we took part in many music festivals and competitions, such as Jazz Nad Odra Festival, JAZZKRACAMERA, Junior Jazz Festival and Enter Enea Festival.

We recently released our first album, which contains 7 original compositions. In it we explore raw Slavic sounds and modern jazz music. Our songs are characterised by an energetic and expressive sound, and a youthful vigour and passion for music.

The concert will be followed by a Jam session.
