Tomasz Podubiński Quartet
Tomasz Podubiński
Student of composition in the class of Professor Aleksander Kościow and jazz guitar in the class of Professor Marek Napiórkowski at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw.
He has participated in master classes with, among others, Pēteris Vasks, Valentin Silvestrov, Marta Ptaszyńska and Shaj Maestro. With his ensembles, he has performed in clubs such as Akwarium and Spatif. His playing is influenced by modern jazz guitarists such as Mike Moreno, but also jazz legends such as Lee Konitz and Lennie Tristano.
Piotr Andrzejewski
He graduated from the jazz department of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw in the class of Nikola Kołodziejczyk and the jazz department of ‘Bednarska’ in the class of Michał Tokaj. Laureate of numerous national jazz competitions, including the Tarnów Jazz Contest, Lublin JazzInspiracje, School&Jazz Festival Lubaczów. He took part in workshops with Enrico Pieranunzi, Piotr Wyleżoł, Dominik Wania and Leszek Możdżer, among others. Inspired by both syncretic contemporary jazz and the most orthodox varieties of mainstream jazz. Privately, a lover of meteorology and almost a qualified philosopher.
Maciej Baraniak
Student at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music. Winner of the 14th Tarnów International Jazz Contest and the JAZZiNSPIRACJE competition as part of the 14th Lublin Jazz Festival. Despite his young age, he has taken part in many projects related to jazz, blues or even hip-hop music. He developed under the tutelage of prominent Polish double bass players such as Andrzej Święs, Adam Cegielski, Mariusz Bogdanowicz and Paweł Pańta.
Aleksander Myszkowski
A young jazz percussionist, studying at the Department of Jazz and Popular Music of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice and the Henryk Majewski Secondary School of Jazz in Warsaw. Despite his young age, he is a laureate and finalist of many competitions and festivals such as: Tarnów Jazz Contest, Blue Note Poznań Competition or Novum Jazz Festival. He has collaborated with many prominent musicians such as Dima Gorelik, Franciszek Pospieszalski, Jaquin Sosa and Kamila Drabek. In music, he values space and freedom. He is inspired by the playing of artists such as Thelonious Monk, Tomasz Stańko and Zbigniew Namysłowski.
