Paulo Silva

My name is Paulo Silva and I’m an artist currently living in Madeira Island.

I find inspiration in the nature around me, as well as the people and animals I’m surrounded by.

My art comprises mostly portraiture or observational drawing, and illustration. While I do work with a range of vibrant colours, I’m particularly drawn to the smooth shadings found in black and white portraits.

For me, drawing is a way to capture a moment in time, to immortalise a person, a place or even a pet!

I try to capture the beauty of the world and people around me, bringing it to life for others to appreciate.
